Daylight saving aka Summertime

RRDtool works with UTC internally but does display time using wall clock time. See elsewhere on this site for a discussion. We just stopped using summertime in Europe and I thought it would be a good idea to save an image and show it here.

These images show 24 hours worth of data. They are exactly the same, except for their title, and the timezone in which they were created (from the same database!). End time is 12:00 my local time.

Notice how the 1st image seems to have two hours between 02:00 and 03:00. Well, is really has. That is because 02:00 is summertime, UTC+02:00, and 03:00 is normal time, UTC+01:00.

This is all I want to say on this page. If you want to read more about time and timezones, please find that page in the rrdtool index, link to the index is below.
